UWT is a niche firm tightly focused on simple and reliable level measurement for solids—and interface measurement within liquids. A German company, UWT brings a long tradition of fine engineering to bear on one of the most stubborn industrial problems: how to reliably gauge levels within product. Knowing your product level is required to avoid overfilling and costly downtime. UWT is the company we trust when level detection matters.
Point Level Measurement
Point level detection refers to a single-point device that senses when product reaches or approaches its level. Depending on your application, this can be to detect demand or the “full” or “empty” state.
Accordingly, UWT offers a variety of purpose-built sensors for different in-tank conditions such as heat or pressure, and a variety of materials from the most aggressive to the most lightweight. We can help you choose the ideal sensor for your particular use case.
UWT offers a full line of point level measurement devices for solids and liquids: Rotary Paddle, Vibratory Fork, Vibratory Rod, and Capacitive.
Continuous Level Measurement
Sometimes you need to know not just when your bulk solids hit a certain level, but their ongoing level at all times. That’s when continuous level measurement is needed. UWT offers two options: a simple electromechanical plumb bob sensor, and a state-of-the-art radar sensor capable of handling high temperatures and operating in dusty environments.
Each sensor is set up with consideration of your material, your process conditions, your vessel and the sensor’s position within it.
UWT offers a full line of continuous level measurement devices for solids and liquids: Plumb-Bob, Capacitive, High-frequency Radar, and Guided Wave Radar.
Interface Measurement
Interface measurement is needed when you can easily gauge the level of a liquid, but need to know the level of a solid, sediment or sludge beneath the surface of that liquid. This is of critical importance in a number of industries, whether for product quality or for the protection and performance of equipment. UWT offers both continuous- and point-level sensors, designed to withstand chemicals, pollution and aggressive environments—and keep on operating cleanly.
